The name Rooftop Jerky is inspired by the spirit of the "Rooftop Koreans" during the 1992 Los Angeles civil unrest. When many Korean-owned businesses were left without immediate protection, some business owners and community members stood on their rooftops to defend what they had spent years building.

To us, that story represents grit, resilience, sacrifice, and the determination to protect what you've worked for. Rooftop Jerky is built on those same values. Every batch is made with care, consistency, and the mindset that success comes from hard work, long nights, and never cutting corners.
